In my head

It will come as a surprise to my readers to hear that I blog in my head many times a day. You probably assume that I don't think much about blogging, because I don't have many blogs. In fact, I lack the means to blog, not the will.

Here are some Twitter-like microblog thoughts I've had lately:
  • In my 20s I had a crush on Johnny Depp. Now I have a crush on Gavin Newsome. This means something profound, I'm sure, like perhaps I've moved from pondering the ethereal topics to pondering the tangible.
  • I'd like to do a lot more writing. It's constructive, interesting, selfish, and peaceful. In short, the polar opposite of work.
  • I want my old cell phone number back. I feel like I lost my old life... silly, I know, but emblematic of current problems with work. My new cell gets Fandango alerts for movies I don't like, and collections calls for a guy named Paul. This would make an interesting article (as though there haven't been hundreds) about the funny glitches in inheriting gadgets.

I think it is called "the facebook effect". I go through my day updating my status in my head and coming up with what is witty to me thoughts about life.
