Both kids are doing new things lately. Around Christmas, Dexter started eating solids. I don't mean the semi-liquid babyfood kind of solids, which he has always rejected -- but actual pieces of bread and broccoli and stuff. This is weird, because he went straight from bottle to pieces of food. No purees! Animal crackers are his favorite.

Zachy has now started requesting baths from Daddy. I'll be giving Dexter and him a bath, and he'll tell me and Dexter to get out. "Why?" I ask, "You want to be alone?" and Z says, "Yes, alone with Daddy." It's understandable . Dad's baths involve an entire tub full of water, not the puny small amount I use, and they last half an hour. I think I'll continue to keep mine stingy, so Zach continues to prefer Dad!
